    Beautiful instrument, Giannis!!

Interesting. I am no expert on bouzoukis but was unaware of this stringing arrangement: 4-2-2. is that a standard arrangement. I think here in the US most have 2-2-2-2.

But what really confused me was the tuning of the 4 mourgkana strings.
Since they sit so close to each other, I could not distinguish which one I was hitting, and which one I was tuning!

There were pre war bouzoukis with 2-2-4 arrangment,2-2-2 ,2-2-2-2 and 2-2-3.Many variations and many types. Also many different tunings.

Giannis: was there a specific type of music played with this configuration?

So, is Rembetiko only played with this 2-2-4 configuration?
