Does this look OK?

Hi,

Does the following top contouring on my new moon cittern look OK ie deliberate or do I have a problem? I've also sent the pics to Moon for their thoughts.

From the end of the brace visible in the third pic to the neck block the top appears to be unsupported except at the edges.

The fretboard doesn't have a hump or drop away into the body from the neck joint to the end of the fingerboard extension – in fact it's flat from the 7th fret to the 24th with just slight relief.

I'm no expert, but that looks like a definite problem to me. Jimmy Moon is a terrific chap, though, so if it is fixable he will be able to help, I'm sure. Was this the instrument on eBay recently? Good luck.

I would ask this question in the builders forum as well. You may get a wider variety of informed opinions. I would certainly be concerned, but I'm no expert.
