Thread: Easy/moderate classical pieces for solo mandolin?

Default Easy/moderate classical pieces for solo mandolin?

I'm pretty new to the mandolin in general, and especially the classical repertoire for the instrument. I've been dabbling with the first Bach partita and am about a third through it.

The Bach is slightly above the level of difficulty with which I am comfortable. I know the cello suites are a favorite, but I am looking for other material to supplement the Bach I am currently learning.

Is there a thread or site somewhere listing solo mandolin works?

    thanks in advance...

There's a prieview in the images tab with an explanation. See what you reckon. They do them as a down-load so postage won't make it too pricey either.

John Goodin's book of Telemann for Mandolin has a number of very approachable pieces as well. Some of the minuets are really lovely.
