Default RIP Leroy K. Beal (MandolinCafe member "Leroy")

Leroy posted on here a while back, and I know I wasn't the only one who was inspired by his building approach. He was quite prolific and innovative for a hobby builder.
Recently I checked back to his site and again appreciated his originality and persistence. He had this "damn the torpedoes" attitude paired with good common sense.

If you haven't, you might find some interesting ideas on his web site, which will hopefully remain up for a while.

    Thanks for the ideas, Leroy.

I had hoped that Leroy would commit the story of the building of the "Darlin' Ann", and his adventures aboard her, to paper, but that will never happen now. When someone dies, a whole world of experience perishes with them.

I am honoring Leroy in my own way by utilizing his 'boneaphone' and male mold method to build my Zamites #2. Although his family might not know it, that man made a mark on me. RIP, Leroy.
