Default Fun with Paint it Black of Rolling Stones

    Hi all
Another great tune to jam to whether playing lead or rhythm or chords is "Paint it blac" of the Rolling Stones. I am playing it and though it still needs a bit of sprucing up, pun intended, I am having a load of fun!

    Happy playing and mandorocking!

Wow Pasha, I am going to have to give that one a try. I like playing Dead Flowers and Let it Bleed by the Stones.

I love playing Dead Flowers so much, I feel like I am overplaying on it. I do everything but a heavy metal pick scrape on it!

It is a heck of a lot of fun to play. Not sure one can over play it though. Not "to many notes".

Wow. Would never have thought of this one and have messed with it for a while this morning. Starting out in Am-E-E7 clicks for me. it's leads in really well with "Sultans of Swing" (one of my favorites). Thanks!

    ...Steve

Current Stable: Two Tenor Guitars (Martin 515, Blueridge BR-40T), a Tenor Banjo (Deering GoodTime 17-Fret), a Mandolin (Burgess #7). two Banjo-Ukes and five Ukuleles..

The inventory is always in some flux, but that's part of the fun.

Hi Ben and Steve and all others

For those having fun with "Paint it Black" I am so pleased. You mentioned other Stones numbers and I am going to give those a bash, <smile> no a pluck or a pick session?

    Happy rockin'

Another oft-overlooked Stones goodie is "Connection" from Between The Buttons. I think Ramblin' Jack Eliot did a version . . .

    Hi Pasha-
Since you are having fun with Paint it Black, try searching U-Tube for cuts form the "Picking on the Rolling Stones" album which featured bluegrass versions of several Rolling Stones songs including Paint it Black. I know you are not primarily a BG player, but I think you will get a chuckle from this one.
