Eastman Md 505

Just picked up an Eastman 505 here on the cafe. Holy crap. I'm blown away! I currently play an Eastman 315, which I love! Very simple, understated, not much finish. And dang. The 505 is my wife's mandolin (she wants to jam with me, so that's pretty cool). But I couldn't put that thing down! Super solid!

So, go check one out if you're in the market for an a style.

I also play a 505. I've never played anything from the 300 series so I'm not sure how it compares. I have a friend who plays a 515 that blows mine out of the water, tone- and volume-wise. But I like my mandolin a lot. It's a better instrument than I am a musician.
