Couldn't find where this has been posted and maybe it should be in another location. If so, I apologize. Still, lots of general info and a few little snippets of tunes from AS in a relaxed question and answer setting.

Thanks for this, I actually saw this too and was going to post it but you beat me to it!

    here it is embedded

Does anyone else use WD40 for cleaning their strings? I just wondered what the possible downsides would be to your mandolin.

Some great pieces of information on here including a discussion about right hand technique and various exercises.

Just after this workshop there was a related thread on WD-40.

Thanks for posting this video. He seems like such a kind and thoughtful person.

I was always worried about WD40 taking the finish off the back of the neck, as I have heard about mosquito repellent. But I guess that's not the case? I'm willing to try anything to make my strings last longer, but I'm waiting to hear somebody else try it LOL

you have to be millionair or maybe a Americana music star to buy a instrument like that !

Amanda, I think that Curt Mangan has new coated mandolin strings. Their coated strings are a lot different than other brands. I'd shy away from the WD 40.

Tell you what, all of those mandolins sound wonderful. The combination of the sound system, the instruments and Adam's hands all spell scrump-dilly-ishus.
