Invisibly, there might be a mandolin hidden down under
the world is better off without bad ideas, good ideas are better off without the world
It looks as if it might be a mandolin zither.
I sent him a message yesterday about it.
There's really nothing to report. That's one of the many names that were applied to these things by the people that sold them in the early 1900's. Not unlike the infamous ukelin, these things were sold door to door with some sort of lesson system to learn how to play them. The Oscar Schmidt Company of New Jersey was probably the major manufacturer of these things and they were sold under many brand names. They are on eBay daily and have little value, very little value. There is a story (I don't know if it's true) about someone opening a long abandoned warehouse in New Jersey and finding stacks of these things brand new in the 80's. That might be an urban legend.
Here's on one eBay right now. There are others listed as well.
We do allow musical instruments other than mandolins to be sold in the classifieds.
