    I wonder if this is the same Heiden that sold a couple of weeks ago from Idaho ? Comes already distressed !

    Do you have to be a good player to have a fine mandolin ? In that case I might as well buy a mandolin at Toys r Us !!

    I played that Heiden at Bluedog. I mentioned that I had just taken a lesson with Reischman 10 minutes before and played his Loar, and the guy handed me the Heiden. Musta thought I was a high roller or something. They also had an old Gibson A oval and a pretty neat mandolinetto. Not to mention all the awesome acoustic guitars.

    Andrew: of course, after Reischman's Loar... But I will ask anyway. What did you think of that Heiden? I have never played any of his mandolins.

    My memory of it isn't the clearest, but I do remember it played with ease. It didn't take much effort to make a nice tone. I believe I also remember that it had some great volume.
