All my picked notes sound so muffled and murky compared with the cleanness of my mandolin. When I use just my fingers instead, I can hear the strings much louder and clearer, even if there's a tinge of ukulele to the sound. Any hints/tips on properly picking mandola?
BTW, mandola is a Woodley H1 replica with J72 strings. It had Jazzdola strings on it from the previous owner but I found them unbalanced sounding.
