    Default Jones octave mandolin

I've hadn't gotten this one out for ages. I put new strings on it and remembered how much fun it is to play. It was made by James Jones in 1988. John McCutcheon endorses him, but you don't see many around. 22" scale, so pretty easy to play. The tailpiece and tuners are cheap, so I might replace them. It's a pretty thing, though. If you play an instrument that you haven't gotten out for years it's almost like buying a new one.

I like it....nice and simple. This is what I lean towards if I ever get one.

I was thinking the same thing. Simple design and it looks great. Would love to hear it.
