Default Any Lefties into Electric Mando?

The mandolin bug has hit me hard...so much so that earlier this year I caved in to the urge and ordered a one of a kind lefty Mandoblaster 4-string electric mandolin. It's an awesome little axe, but upon receiving it I instantly had buyer's remorse and began to question whether I should have gotten something different like a Big Muddy Mandola instead? (I would definitely trade someone this emando for a lefty Big Muddy).

Mandolin is my primary instrument, although I love listening to electric guitar players like Jerry Garcia, Trey Anastasio, Grant Green and Brill Frisell so I thought an emando would be a good fit but my heart's not in it. So I'm willing to eat a bunch of the cost and unload this mandolin to some lucky lefty for like half the cost I paid for it, but there doesn't appear to be anyone on the face of the earth interested in a left-handed electric mandolin. How could this be???!!!

Post an add on the classifieds . maybe a right handed player will re-string it backwards if it is cheap enough . or try to see if you can use it as a partial trade at one of the many instrument dealers for a big muddy

Unless you're really strapped for cash, I'd just keep it. I got a mandoblaster 5-6 years ago, toyed with it, basically decided what you did, but put it in the closet. A couple years later out of the closet it came when I got a new amp for guitar and now I play probably 50/50 electric/acoustic. Even got another electric since then. The amp is such an enormous part of the sound of an electric instrument. Without a good electric tone dialed in via a nice tube amp and pedals, it's not inspiring at all imo.

Hi - I really want to be into lefty 4-string electric mandolins, but the only new models out there seem to be Gold Tones, which I might end up getting. I'd prefer not to flip a righty one, and it's my understanding that it isn't great for the body to only put 4 strings on an 8 string (http://www.amazon.com/Eastwood-Mando.../dp/B007Q2NTRQ) - at least that's my understanding regarding 12 string acoustic guitars. Are there other lefty 4 string electric options out there? Is Gold Tone worthy? Thanks! I appreciate any assistance!

Not sure about the younger folks, but when I started out there was no option but for us lefties to learn how to play righty.
