    Exclamation That's Amore

A song led to success by Dean Martin in the early '50s and used as a soundtrack in numerous films and television series, in my arrangement for classical guitar. http://www.chitarrarte.it

Here's an interesting version... His accompaniment doesn't cut him any slack...

Nor does whoever wrote the captions. Verbal brutality!

It's worth noting that Dino's version opens with a cloud of mandolins. I had quite forgotten that until I saw "The Hangover," which opens with this playing. Mandolins are all over this throughout.

We just played at the Buffalo Italian Heritage Festival (mandolin and guitar duet) and the two most requested tunes were That's Amore and Torna Surrento. We had learned them the week before.

Smart choices. I had a gig playing in an Italian restaurant a few years ago and those were both in my repertoire. Also, "Santa Lucia," "Tarantella," "Funiculi Funicula," "O Sole Mio," and "Volare." Also similar-sounding items from other countries, like "Never On Sunday" and "Somewhere My Love." Hard to go wrong with any of those.
