Thread: Cross #32 Mandolin

    Default Cross #32 Mandolin

I just picked up my new Mandolin today. Built by Mr. Arnold Cross in Smyrna, TN (just a few minutes from Nashville).
Her back and sides are Birdseye maple and top is Sitka spruce.
Arnold does amazing work on each of his mandolins. I was able to spend quite a bit of time at his shop playing all the mandolins he had available, walking through his shop and process, and genuinely getting to talk to and know him. He should be much more known than he is among builders. I have been to most of the stores in Nashville seriously looking for a mandolin upgrade and I fell in love with this one. I can feel the time and love he put in to the wood when I play it. Sorry if the pictures from my phone do not do it justice.
