superb playing!
Thanks for your comment @cayuga red
I like this very much - kind of high class parlor ragtime, perfect for small town dances and elegant private parties, and of course wonderfully played. I can't dance but it sounds very danceable to me. Great cover photo on the CD as well!
Thanks for the description and comment @tpeters. The photo on the album cover is a tram crossroad downtown montreal in 1883. The picture speaks by itself as this society was really into innovation.
I like this stately, ragtime strut-influenced small band music, from a time just before commercial recordings, radio and amplification arrived to shift popular music away from the home-grown, everyday variety. Very nicely played too.
Can you buy this CD in the UK?
@Anglocelt, indeed, the modern music industry started with the grammophone and moved away from newspaper sheet music. I sell my CD through my bandcamp page, but also you can write me at jonathan@mandomontreal.com we can do it out another way. I havent figured out the exact shipping cost for UK but might be around 10-15$

...what beautiful music!
Music washes away from the soul the dust of every-day life. Auerbach.
The rejection of 'the others' is a tragedy of the human being; If it comes from emigrants, an added horror!
