    Default New Free Tutorials Site

    Hey y'all,

Just thought I'd share my new lesson channel with you. In the coming months, I'll be loading it up with crisp, professional, *free* tutorials discussing all things mandolin. From beginner lessons on tone, technique and fiddle tunes to more advanced discussions of improvisation, chord theory, Brazilian choro and more. Please **subscribe** and leave a comment.

Also, let me know if there are particular subjects you'd like to see covered!

This post should be getting more attention.

It is a really original approach and is very well worth looking at. I'm hugely impressed at the way the presentation is at one with the method - harmonic intervals lock in immediately to where the fingers go.

If the stuff that's on the way is as good as this you will soon be a star in this small firmament.

    Thanks y'all!

I appreciate the feedback. There's plenty more on the way. My goal is to put one new lesson up every week -- at least through the end of the year. It of course helps a ton - if you find the stuff useful - to share at will on your various social networks.

I'll try, but I won't always post stuff here. But you can always sign my mailing list or subscribe to my channel on Youtube.

    Happy pickin'. -z

Wow, this is great stuff! I just watched all three videos in the triad-building series, and it's exactly what I've been trying to teach my wife, in terms of recognizing movable chord shapes and how to build double-stops from them. I love the idea of the "clothesline" approach, as that may be much easier for her to understand than the way I've been explaining it.

These three videos are perfect for someone who knows basic two-finger chord shapes using open strings, but is ready to move on to a slightly more complex way of playing chords or harmonizing. Thanks! I look forward to your future tutorials as well.

Hey folks: Here's the newest video in the series. It shows how you can build augmented, diminished and 7 chords from your basic 3 major triads shapes. Enjoy! Share, comment and subscribe if you dig it. Cheers, z
