    Looks like it would be a good players instrument. I have the same year A2 and they are absolutely amazing. But for the price of that one you can easily find an all original good condition A2 that would make just as fine a player. That ones back has been removed and has a pretty big repaired crack. Non original pickguard or case. Any old Gibsons A`s are great instruments, and if you look around you can find all original ones for good prices

    I think I've seen that one lingering for a long time now. It's priced too high that's why, I would offer him what it's worth (under a grand) and if he doesn't take it, it's his loss

    Coriander,basil,finely ground pepper and a touch of salt. Yes the price is way too high --the "Loar Era" claim is an exaggeration ,needs a truss rod for that---

    I have a 1920 A2, and love it; a loud, sweet mandolin with lots of low end when needed. Not a bluegrass instrument, but great for just about anything else. Still has the original non-adjustable bridge, and plays with a lovely low action. No cracks or sinkage, they made them well in those days!
