    Default Sound of carbon mandolin

    Hey !
Some months ago, i show you the new carbon mandolin i self built (sorry for bad english, i luve in Lyon, un France)
Manu readers of this forum have questions about sound.
As I like also much humour, I had fun to produce a clip in the shape of covering joint of eye to the Neapolitan music. I hope that you to go to like the sound and the images.

sounds pretty good... I guess the dip in the river won't hurt the carbon either

Is that bowl back a right handed mandolin being played left handed with the strings still set up for right handed playing?

It's mirror image - a picture taken in Photo Booth. I'm a plain old righty.

    carbonpieu,

I loved your video. Thanks for letting us see it. Hope you're getting enough time to play your mandolin.
Do you have any advice for aspiring fiddlers?
I wish I had some sort of new advice. It's sort of like losing weight:

Would seriously consider buying one if I had not just bought an expensive wooden mandolin.

Had a carbon fiber Luiz and Clark cello. Wish I had not sold it. Yo Yo Ma has one he likes.

The tone of the mandolin in the video demonstrates that carbon fiber is an excellent material for mandolins.

Yes, But wouldn't a mirror image still have the strings the correct way up, ie G at the top?

And it does, that's just the crummy lighting.
