"hey come over and get this stuff, or I'm throwing it out."
Besides 2 guitar sets of Euro flamed Maple & Euro Spruce, one set of the same for an arched mandolin, there were these parts.
Can you find the "holy grail" in this picture?

Is that a shoe tree? I'm missing one.

Nice! I wish I got more calls like that. Not sure about the Holy Grail, but I can think of more than a few times that I've come across mando's missing that little "cloud" tailpiece cover.
Ding-ding!
Of course it is the NOS cloud tail piece, with one tiny little blemish on the cover.
I may have to make another mandolin, just to use it.
What can you sell it for on Ebay?

A bunch of stuff with four strings
Never got the call, don't need the cloud tp

Looks like you have to make a banjo and a classical guitar, Dave! I think the plain cloud tps go for $40-60 depending on condition and, as Charley notes, the engraved ones go for lots more.

I've actually been making those calls trying to clean out stuff. Boxing up a bunch of maple today to send to a builder.
I'm an old guy now, I've never moved, and I've had that call, oh yeah, I've had that call more than once! That's where these drawer came from - some had old tuners, some had really cheap violin parts, some had cheap guitar parts, most were empty:
NICE cabinet Fred!
I would love to get that call!

All those classical guitar tuners and cheap mandolin tuners!
Now I'll have to call someone else to get rid of them, or maybe a replacement on a repair that has even cheaper tuners.
Really though, this guy has called me twice, and each time the wood gets better and better, really old highly flamed Maple back & sides and AAA Spruce.
In the 80's a co-worker knew I was into music/instruments and told me that she had a box of stuff that belonged to a relative who had passed. I bought the box of stuff from her, it was full of repair jigs, parts, frets, luthier magazines, books, etc. I got more interested in repairs as a result and I'm still using things from that box of stuff. Of course, I've added to the list of tools and supplies since those days.
