I've been looking at Stretto humidifiers and wonder if others have used them and how well they work. After trying the other commonly used brands I've been dissatisfied. So what's the story with Stretto?
Thanks

I have used them in 3 cases and they work very well IMHO.
7+ days before refill. Downside is the cost of the bags. They can be used multiple times before replacement though

Just take a ziplock bag, punch some holes in it and put a damp sponge inside. Work well and is cheap.

Reviving an old thread to ask a question about the Stretto humidifier.
I just bought one and am a little disappointment that I can't find a place in either one of the mandolin cases to put it. One case is a Calton. The other is a Terrapin F case.
For those that use a Stretto, where do you put it in the case? Can you put it in the case compartment?
How does this compare to the D'Addario case humidifier? https://www.daddario.com/products/ac...nt-humidifier/

How often do you normally add water to these? I know it depends on the environment.

I've used them before in violin cases, and they work well. As others mentioned, the bags are a bit pricey. I think the Oasis case humidifiers are a better deal. Cheaper, simpler, and longer time between refills. I've used those for all of my cases for the last 6 years and they've served me well.
