Default The New Year's Gift (Holborne, 1595, arr. Jim Dalton)

With Christmas out of the way, it is time to move on to the next seasonal holiday: this one is called "The New Year's Gift" and is a galliard for lute, written by Antony Holborne (c. 1545-1602) and appearing in the Marsh Lute Book (c. 1595).

This arrangement for 4 mandolins is by Jim Dalton, and is available from his website:

I have dropped the fourth mandolin part by an octave and have played it on mandocello.

    Mandolin 1: 1890s Umberto Ceccherini
    Mandolin 2: Mid-Missouri M-0W
    Mandolin 3: Mid-Missouri M-0W
    Mandocello: Suzuki MC-815
