Don't know about the costs of shipping sheet music from Germany to the USA, but Trekel has some interesting mandolin sheet music. I especially like Inge Kaelberers treatment of Sanz' Suite Espanola. It goes from simple melodies to more complex chordal arrangements (that are still beyond me) http://www.stretta-music.com/sanz-su...nr-342392.html
To give you an idea here's the first movement
There are something like 25 pieces in the Mutopia archive which are specifically for mandolin.
This FMI page has the complete compositions of Raffaele Calace for various mandolin configurations.
Of course there are many pieces for violin and flute and even oboe that you could play on the mandolin (similar range).
