    Default Austrian polka: Schön Marie

    We don't talk a lot about Austrian or German dance music here, so this is slightly off-beat.

    This is a traditional polka from the Mühlviertel region of Upper Austria, and well-known in its vocal form throughout Austria and Germany. It's normally played on accordion, but I think it translates quite nicely to mandolins and is fun to play!

    I never like polkas before, but now that I've heard one on mandolins, I believe they are quite nice! ty for sharing!
