    Hey! Anyone know of a book explaining about the early history of Gibson mandolins(ie,Lloyd Loar) ??

    Plus one for Roger Siminoff's site. There s a tab there for Lloyd Loar and one for Orville Gibson. Both will give you a basis for further study.

    That's a good book--I've read it--may just buy it one day.
    Would it save you a lot of time if I just gave up and went mad now?
