Hi everyone,

The New England Conservatory of Music's Contemporary Improvisation (CI) department is putting on our second big concert of the year. It is an homage to the medieval mystic and saint Hildegard Von Bingen and her musical drama the Order of the Virtues. Though the concept for the concert is based in very old music traditions, the CI department will perform many different styles and genres to tell Hildegard's story in our own way. Tomorrow night the audience will get to hear shape note hymns, African Baka chants, bluegrass gospel music inspired by Bill Monroe and the Louvin Brothers, a rendition of music by Tom Waits and many other diverse songs. Also, Bruce Molsky will make an appearance! If you or anyone you know is in the Boston area and would like to come the concert, it is free to the public at:
NEC's Jordan Hall 30 Gainsborough St. Boston, MA.

The concert starts at 8pm.
