Very nice!! We here in the US rarely get to see any Levin instruments. I actually bought a 1950 Model 46 Classic from a seller in New Jersey just to see what it would be like. It is a flattop mandolin but needed a bit of work.

Is yours called the Aristokrat? I was also wondering if you are using very light gauge strings on it. It sounds that way to me from the sound you are getting, at least on the video.

According to info here, the 320 was replaced by the Model 40/Aristokrat in 1947. The Aristokrat seems to have bound f-holes, but otherwise they look very similar.

I played a 1940s 320 in a shop in Copenhagen a couple of years ago. The finish was a bit rough, but it was a great-sounding mandolin, even with the paper-thin pick the guy in the shop lent me. I probably should have bought it. They had another Levin that looked a lot like a Gibson A40 which was also very good.

Very cool, haven't seen too many of these out in the wild.

Thanks for the video, as I have never seen or heard of one of these Levin two point archtops. Is that tuned to standard pitch?
