Default Viennese operetta: "Im Chambre séparée" (R. Heuberger, 1898)

This is the best-known number from the 1898 operetta "Der Opernball" by the Viennese composer Richard Heuberger (1850-1914). It's a waltz duet, with the full (and usually abbreviated) title "Komm mit mir ins Chambre séparée". It's still performed regularly and there are recordings of this song by many of the great opera singers on Youtube.

This instrumental arrangement for mandolin orchestra is by Vinzenz Hladky, with all instruments played by me. Hladky's mandocello part is so high in the instrument's range that I have played it on octave mandolin instead.

    1890s Umberto Ceccherini mandolin
    1915 Luigi Embergher mandolin
    Mid-Missouri M-0W mandolin
    Mid-Missouri M-111 octave mandolin (x2)
    Ozark tenor guitar

Martin that is wonderful. Very lush. An entire orchestra. Just beautiful.
A talent for trivializin' the momentous and complicatin' the obvious.

    The entire staff
    funny....
