    Default Keith Harris

I was interested to see that Harris is giving lessons by internet.
Years ago I attended Harris' 5 day workshop he gave at Hofstra University, presented by Norman Levine of Plucked String.
At the time Harris was playing and he played for us a piece by Neil Gladd.
We concentrated on holding the pick and striking the strings. Mike Schroeder of the Louisville Mandolin group seemed to get the most out of it. He played a solo of "Somewhere Over The Rainbow" which reminded me of the version by Jethro Burns on the Tea For One album.
It was $500 for the whole workshop with a morning and afternoon session and a concert.
And certificates were given out at the end.

I am looking for sheet music of -Angy Palumbo- Gioviale- and Carlos Curti. All 3 wrote proifically but there is scant- availability even with pettine----ninomando--great composers like bandolim and calace are abundant with sheet music

I don't know why you posted on this thread which has nothing to do with those composers. In any case there are some pieces of Giovale's on this page on FMI's site.

I have studied with Keith via Skype and highly recommend his approach to the mandolin.
Those of us who are members of the CMSA have certainly benefited from his monthly articles and contributions to the world of classical mandolin.
