    Default Skype Mandolin Lessons?

Where I live, finding a mandolin teacher is like finding an albino rhino, so i guess I'm gonna have to go the skype route. I'm asking for recommendations for a good teacher who teaches via skype at a reasonable price. Thanks for your help.

If you look at the opening page for the Café you will see at the top left a word Lessons Left click that and it will bring up some free lessons but also again top left you will see a link for mandolin instructors. Figure on paying about a dollar a minute. R/

I've been Skyping with Emory Lester for just over a year now and it works out great. I've really learned alot and his playing amd teaching styles are great. Go to his website to contact him...

I prefer the one on one interaction rather than the online group lessons many great players are now offering...YMMV.

Here is another vote for Emory Lester, but I'd also recommend Mike Compton. What kind of music are you interested in? Mike is THE guy for Monroe style and old time. Emory would give you a more contemporary take on the mandolin: newer bluegrass, Dawg, jazz, & chord melodies. As an added bonus, they are both pretty funny guys and you'll be entertained.

Hope this helps, and good luck finding the right teacher for you.
