Default Pierrot Volage (H. Waiss), mandolin duet

    H. Waiss: Pierrot Volage (Melodie)
Arranged for two mandolins by Janvier Pietrapertosa Fils

This short duet appears in a collection of mainly solo mandolin pieces (this is one of only three duets) published by Pietrapertosa around 1900. A PDF scan of the entire album can be downloaded from Michael Reichenbach's site (www.mandoisland.de). Thanks, Michael!

"Pierrot Volage" was the title of a pantomime ballet performed in 1886 at the Folies Bergeres in Paris. I'm not sure how this piece relates to the ballet, the music of which was written by Louis César Désormes, not by Waiss. Either way, this is a nice duet, and very French!
