How do you record videos? I'm needing help with VLC

If you can't hunt down the problem, perhaps start a new Thread and folks here will get you on the straight and narrow track!!

I wish I could find the cause of the video latency from my recorded AVI videos made on the VLC media player. I've tried installing new codecs, dedicating processes, eliminating the loop for the H.264 decoding.

Trying to find out more, in the meantime I'll record audio with GarageBand and Video with Debut and put them together in iMovie

...and it seems to work, kind-of
