Default Billy Strings and Don Julin and Hartford Fest

Saw Billy Strings and Don Julin at the John Hartford Mem Fest. They were good as expected! What kind of mandolin is Don playing? A Sorenson? It looks like one but not the headstock...

    Shaun,
Yep. You're right! Once you posted that I started searching for it. Apparently it was actually listed here on the cafe classifieds a few years ago! Here's a pic from back then...

Its a monster...Im an old student of dons and i still follow him closely and work with him from time to time...we've split bills a couple times over the last few months and he plays both of them regularly...he has 2 nugget mandolins, one has the gibson logo on the headstock and is one of mike's first f5s i think....the 2 point is incredible, huge fat sound, sweet and big low end...its so nice it convinced me to save up and find a nugget 2 point of my own!
