nevermind.....did some more checking and have determined this is incorrect info. Willie should be with us (hopefully!) for a long time to come...

I'm very hesitant to believe this. I only see this from one source and I've seen too many fake deaths on the Internet. Can anyone confirm?

If so that is terrible. Willie is a legend

?? It says at the bottom. This story is not true.

Does willie even have a Maui home?

Edit: it's a hoax, I guarantee it. Google willie Nelson death

Right. This is a cruel hoax perpetrated by a site called msmbc - not msnbc - which stands for mainstream media bullcrap - their words, not mine http://msmbc.co/iconic-country-star-...dies-at-81.php

That's all this site is - fake stories about celebrity deaths. At the bottom of the page in small print is this disclaimer: This story is not true. So, then, why publish it? What is wrong with these people?

    Good grief!

If there ever was a time to completely delete a thread, I would say this is it. I thought I was going to have an anxiety attack. People should be spared strong reactions like that. This is not funny.

Or we could turn it into a celebration of Willy and tie in some mando content

This is one of my favorite albums of all time, and yep that's a mandolin heard faintly in the background around 1:50

We could do that - though surely there are already threads like that. I'd rather that site not get any more traffic - however that works for them - and prefer they and that site just wither, dry up, and blow away. I'd also like our members to be spared the shock of seeing this horrific "news." That's my 2¢, anyway.

Right, at least change the title

Btw no offense to the op. I have fallen for these things more than once. The one that got me this year was "Ringo admits Paul died in 1963" I really fell hard for that one
