    First, it's important to get the bird right. Once that's done, you can work on the melody...

    Red Wing Black birds remind me of my late father. I used to mainly see them on a golf course when I played with him. We never listened to the Beatles together.

    You may have to find the score and write your own Tab from it. It's not that hard to write your own tab if you have a cheat sheet.

    On the Scale part above, the 1, 2, 3, 4 are the open strings from G, D, A, E on your mandolin.

    Try a search of: blackbird beatles mandolin on YouTube
    There are a fair number of lessons, maybe you can get TAB from them.

    Sometimes guitar tab can be transcribed too.

    abcnotation.com but not much, though some, from late 20th century.
