    Default Banjo Standoff

Well, there you go. As it says a bizarre banjo standoff.

You'd NEVER see that with a mandolin. Too small, it wouldn't cover enough of the body!! Ha!!

Them banjer pickers is crazy, sho' 'nuff....

You'll notice, of course, that due care was used by the police to protect the banjo after its owner was subdued. Unfortunately, his full medley of I Fought the Law and the Law Won and Doin' My Time was not preserved on video tape.

Interesting he was only charged with one count of felony assault, in connection with the knife, not the banjo. Seems there should have also been a charge for felony assault on a police officer with a deadly weapon - actually, multiple charges, one for each officer subjected to this assault. I count at least nine officers on the scene, plus that poor K-9 officer. Perhaps Vancouver laws are more permissive.

That said, he surely has laid the groundwork for an insanity defense.

A steel-body mandola would do the trick. Does National or anybody make those? Might be able to mount a flamethrower inside, too.
