You don't see firewood like that coming out of China. It's expensive but a man has got to make a living and I always say buy the best firewood you can afford and you'll never regret it.
I laughed so hard, the small bottle of Ardbeg Single Malt Scotch Whisky I use for disinfecting my wristwatch band almost fell over...

Thanks for one super laugh. I got the tears too. That sure puts a light on society.

Just think how sales will explode when they start a DOT.com version! Unlimited potential . . . when it gets cold.

My favorite new term : lumbersexual hipsters.
It does that, and it also illuminates human nature: everybody could better the quality of their own life by making changes to their personality free of charge, but most prefer to spend money on a mere illusion of quality.
I have seen this business plan work for a large part of the population of India: those crippled creatures you meet in streets or on railway station platforms holding a hand out to you for a few rupees - those aren't beggars, they're entrepreneurs selling you a good conscience (let's call it "quality mind") - if you're inclined to believe that - they are highly organized regarding places and times, and many of them were crippled by their parents at a young age for prestige in this trade.

Had me at the ginger rub. There is a degree of truth there that makes it surreal and hilarious
Enjoyed thx
Yep, pretty funny, but I just couldn't quite laugh because the element of the human condition that inspired it is so disappointing.

A friend sent that to me a week or so back. I thought it was pretty funny but sad for the same reason as you John.
I do like the term "lumber sexual hipster" however!

Wait, this isn't real? I'm going to be returning all that firewood I bought.

Has anyone figured out yet that if you carve a little curly-que in that block you could charge double the price? That's what Bill would have burned!

I don't normally watch TV, but I happened to catch this on someone's TV, and I haven't completely gotten over it since. To waste that much time, and that much of a customer's (oh, sorry, client's) money, and have the customer be happy about wasting that much money...
As least now I know that there is fire wood worthy of the fireplaces.

I love the last sentence of the video. " Its not about you....its about me"
Sorry, "its kinda for me"
I laughed when I saw a similar video of a man who did artisanal pencil sharpening.
It wasn't a joke, you sent this guy a check along with your pencils, and he sharpened them really great and sent them back.
Check out one of those Mandolin websites, it is the same over there.

Sounds like something they'd actually have in Portland. (I got kin up there so I'm allowed to say that.) Of course you would never be allowed to actually burn it because of pollution restrictions. Or store it due to fire regs. But other than that, they'd totally have it there.
Hey, those guys just stole my next business idea!
I might need to contact my lawyers.... Ana L. Wind and partners
They should've cast Nick Offerman for this.
Laugh as you may, but there might actually be a market for 'artisan firewood'. The perfect logs in the fireplace when staging a home for sale. For magazine photo shoots and such. As props...
Ever buy firewood while camping? Did ya just grab the top bundled or two or did you look for the 'good one'?
No different than the way people have always searched for the right Christmas tree...
Ever watch people pick through lumber at a lumber yard...? Personally I'm keeping an open for the perfect piece of 2x12x16' tone wood.

Prop firewood could be made of plastic or something like that, since it doesn't have to burn and is going to be used over and over again. Sort of like that fake plastic sushi in sushi restaurant windows. Or those Antoniotsai mandolins that look really nice but don't make much of a sound.
