Phil, I like your tag line, "Sharps/Flats” ≠ “Accidentals”. I'm assuming that you mean if there are sharps in the key signature, they are not accidentals.

If I'm not mistaken an accidental only affects one measure,unlike my accidents that can affect whole songs.
