Just a half-mile walk (being 10 short blocks) from the Nevins Street subway stop. Quick reference on a map is that it's near the head of the Gowanus Canal.

Here is some info about taking to JFK Airtrain to the subway:

Subway fare is $2.75 each way, and will take about an hour and back with the walk to the subway station. It will probably take that long just to go through the inventory on their web site. It is quite an experience to go there, and you can see and play an amazing assortment of all kinds of instruments. Enjoy the trip, have fun, and post your impressions!
