Brian - All right, but you have to accept our perpetual overcast Michigan winter skies with it. I used to be a ski bum in Crested Butte. That Colorado sunshine and powder is delightful. Get those skis ready.

First snow in the UK too last night but blue sky this morning. We walked the five miles down to our local cafe for brunch and took the bus back.

Here in Red Lodge Montana we got 6" of snow yesterday and it went down to -3 last night but it's a ski town so we are ok with that.

Been unseasonably warm here in New England.
    Was 60F and sunny yesterday.
Today is a little more seasonable at 40F but the sun is shining and the ground is bare.

After 30+ years of shoveling I finally got a snowblower, but last nights snow wasn't even worth firing it up for. Waiting for the big one!

I agree with the cafe, but where I'm at (Poway, California, just north of San Diego), it's 82 degrees. Nice, but remember we have a water issue out here!!!
Many years ago, I decided I wanted to learn how to play the mandolin so I went out and bought a cheapo hondo mandolin. Had it for years, then in 2007 I purchased a Morgan Monroe MMS-4 Phantom of the Opry Mandolin. I retired the Hondo to a friend. Now in 2015, to keep the MMS-4 company, I have purchased a Gold Tone 800 Octave Mandolin. Maybe one day I will purchase a custom built Mandolin.

It's my first season with a snow blower and it's been a busy week of snow relocation. This may be the winter first season where my driveway doesn't require 4WD.

    Ah, ambiguity!

Walking five miles in the snow for brunch reminded me of one of the "when I was your age" stories I heard from grandpa.

My neighbor has a monster snow blower. A few well placed compliments and ... problem solved.

No, we have no snow yet. But its seasonably cold out.
