Just read in the news to stop using Adobe Flash but when I turn it off, I can no longer access Youtube videos in the forums. Any suggestions?

Where did you hear that? What was the reason?

False alarm on my part I guess. Went back and reread today's MSN news thread on Adobe and an attached article from techinsider which was dated Oct 16 on a serious security problem which has now been fixed. Flash is used on the new Window 10 so it must still be a go.
Flash, I understand, is a dying creature. These days HTML5 is the big kid on the block. You still need Flash for a lot of sites but... It's days may be numbered.
FWIW, Firefox has an add-on that allows YouTube videos to be viewed in HTML5.
There is also a HTML5 Video Everywhere add-on for Firefox; here is its homepage:

I think the news items you saw were actually about Adobe announcing that they were rebranding the Flash development environment to be renamed and repurposed. And they were encouraging Flash content creators to start using more modern web tech, html5, etc.

Flash has been the subject of security discussions for the last few years. It doesn't even run natively on the iPad on purpose.
Lot's of stuff that can be misconstrued in the news today about Adobe flash.
