Nice fiddlin' John. I just happen to be picking this one a couple days ago on guitar, from the Bryan Sutton DVD.

Nicely done! Thanks for posting!
I first heard it from an old timey string band then was reacquainted with it from Roland White on the "I Wasn't Born to Rock and Roll but, I Love to Cook" album.
It's is so much fun to play! One of my favorites to pick anytime.
I'm not a fiddle player, may never be but, I know a few fiddle players who like to just play it and play it!
Nice work!

There is a nice version in the Joe Carr book "Great Mandolin Picking Tunes". One of my favorites!

Sorry John, I should have said first that this is good fiddling. Nice short bow strokes!

Nice playing gents but don't ever pick it in the same set with Billy in the Lowground .......
I love hanging out with mandolin nerds . . . . . Thanks peeps ...
My guitar player used to get Billy in the low ground confused with it pretty often but, it has sunk in. There are a hatful of those,"confusable" tunes out there.
