    Hey guys and gals! Jonathan McClanahan here. I just thought I'd show you some pics and a video of the mandolin I recently built for Wayne Benson! Let me know what you think!

    That is stunning. Was it difficult to bend the quilted maple sides? What rib thickness did you use?

    Thread Bump: my buddy C.J. Lewandowski is having Jonathan build him a custom "Trinity" model.

    BTW, C.J. says that Wayne Benson "put down" his Loar for the McClanahan...

    It is considered an "unsigned Loar." That's why I said he set his Loar down. My bad. Regardless, he hasn't played it since he received his McClanahan, which is one heck of a testament
