    Question What type of strings?

    Good evening.
    I just bought the pictured item from a seller on eBay.

    I think it only has 4 strings on it currently.

    I've never had a banjo or banjo-mando before... What type of strings would you put on it?

    I use regular light-gauge strings on my Vega Little Wonder. Others on the Cafe have recommended buying two sets of light gauge tenor banjo strings, and using those (though you end up discarding nearly half the length of each string).

    The attempt is to moderate the somewhat raucous sound of the mandolin-banjo. Some experimentation may be involved...
