She was the opening act for Del McCoury here in town last Saturday. Seems to be moving to more singing and less mandolin playing. Her just released CD reflects this. Not the direction I wish she was going, but she didn't ask me.

I saw her perform a couple years ago near Mansfield Ohio.she is so talented for her age.I guess she is ready to expand her career by singing more.

Saw her last Saturday in Brevard. Played mandolin, octave mandolin, Mandocaster, and tenor guitar. Did a wide variety of songs and killed every one of 'em. What ever direction she decides to take, she bears listening to, hope she wins that Grammy !

Yup, congratulations to both on their skills and also their need and drive to try to get their own music heard. Even without consideration of their age, I think they'll be trailblazers for years to come.

    That's unfortunate. She's a fair/good singer at best.

Give her some time! Her duet work with Ethan Jodziewicz was fascinating at times. Everyone needs to explore a little to see what they really want themselves to sound like. I have some pretty lame cd's from some pretty amazing artists, where they really just wanted to try something out, get it off their chest. At her age, sky's the limit.

Noting the two year anniversary of this fine interview, one of our favorites. A testament to the great work of Michael Eck!

We just bought tickets to a show in our area a few months from now. Front row center! I can watch her fingers fly around the fretboard.

What a difference a few years make. Look for another big feature interview coming in the near future about the release Sierra has been working on of late.

I just read the interview and was knocked out by the tune it linked. Wow. She is so much more than a BG player. I had no idea. Thanks!
