Virginia DeadHeads?

Hi all. I just caught the dead thread on the other forum. Good to see there are other heads around that play acoustic. I am in central Virginia between Richmond and Fredericksburg. I have been wanting to put a acoustic dead style project together for a while or even just a meet and greet. Fwiw I am over 49 and play guitar and mandolin a bit of banjo and some tenor guitar and baritone guitar. I also host a open mike every Monday night close by. So if anyone within a short drive is reading this, shoot me a PM.

Open mike is anything acoustic. In over a year playing there, I have heard no dead. But a variety of acoustic music. So dead is by no means a requirement.

It's at a place called Tims at Lake Anna. The address is 200 board walk way. Mineral va 23117. Monday's 7 to 9 winter but 7 to 10 spring and summer on an out side deck overlooking the lake. Give me a shout if you ever want to cruise by.

it's a reach from the West End, but it could happen. I do know where it's located though as I drive up through there en route to Culpeper.

Just realize some places wont allow covers of copyrighted songs to be played ..

then You have to find Public Domain songs ... and hope the GD like arrangement

is not covered by a Licence with ASCAP/ BMI.. (It is a Business after all)

I'm a Lake Anna weekender, play at open mics in DC area, guitar and singer/songwriter. I'll try to schedule a Monday at the lake to come hit your show at Tim's. Anybody ever get together around the lake to jam? Looking to play with folks when I'm down.
