Default Great new bluegrass CDs 2016

What are some of your favorite bluegrass CDs so far in 2016?

One of mine is "Going Home Today" by Carolina Blue.
This is a band that is just stepping out from being a local act (Brevard, NC) for the last several years. The pickin' and singing on this is really great and there are some nicely written originals. Timmy Jones is the mandolin player and is a VERY good Monroe-style player. Check them out! http://www.carolinablueband.com/

Another two that I just ordered and aren't here yet: Town Mountain - Southern Crescent, Boxcars - Familiar With the Ground. I'm sure neither of those will disappoint.

What other bluegrass CDs are you enjoying from the first quarter of 2016?

Jim Hurst has a nice one out but I don't know if it is this year; Second Son.

Weave by Jaywalkers. Awesome BG/Folk group from england. There a threesome that plays mando, fiddle and base with the occasional guitar.

I am enjoying Chatham County Line's newest, "Autumn." Just released a couple of weeks ago.
I laid the tracks, never rode the train.

This was going to be my suggestion. Sam Bush's Storyman is great, and I like Sierra Hull's latest an awful lot, also.

I second, Town Mountain - Southern Crescent and Sam Bush - Storyman. The new Billy Strings EP is also great. The new Greensky Bluegrass album is also getting a lot of playtime in my house.

Without getting into what is and isn't Bluegrass, Bryan Sutton's Into My Own is an excellent recording and well worthy of your attention. R/
    I love hanging out with mandolin nerds . . . . . Thanks peeps ...
