Sad news - my Freshwater Octave mandolin - which I played more than any of my other mandos - was in the trunk of my car when someone rear ended me - totaling the car ( no big loss) , and I say this with a quiver in my voice, sadly the Freshwater Octave mandolin -
I mean who cares about the car -
    but my Freshwater ............

So we took pictures and sent them to David , and withn a few hours he called me up to offer his condolences and also to quote the replacement for the insurance company -

    what a guy -

as usual he had some stories and anecdotes to make you forget your own woes..

Well you don't get service like that these days anymore -

Kudos to David and Thanks again

Hey, sorry to hear about that, Tim. How are you doing after the crash? Hopefully nothing that you won't recover from fast or prevent you from playing.

    I'm thinking of selling mine.

By the way, it's six O'Clock here.

Thanks for all the well wishes -

I have some other mandos and mandocellos to keep me going

but I will miss that box - hopefully the insurance will replace it.
I guess If I had a hard shell case it might have been OK - and I do have an old ovation case that it "just" fits in that I have used, but not this time.

    thanks again
