Default Kaufman Kamp 2016--Who is Going?

Looks to be an AMAZING year for mandolins at Kamp this year. Faculty members are Andy Hatfield, Matt Flinner, Bruce Graybill, Carlo Aonzo, Steve Smith, and Tim Connell.

Who is going? Newbies need any advice?

This will be year number 7 for me!

Message me if you're interested in a classical jam. We usually have one or two during Kamp.

Hello Mr. Vinyard .... I will be in fiddle class with Mr. Hicks and Josh Goforth but will be attending jams with my mandolin each evening. See you in Maryville . R/

I'll be there for mandolin. Maybe 5th or 6th time; can't remember.
No thanks on the classical jam. Maybe some day.

We played Keith Yoder's "Skipping Stones" at our slow jam last night to help get us in the mood!

There are times I'd like to work up "Can't Help But Wonder Where I'm Bound" and end every jam with it.

I'm going, my first, taking mando classes, but bringing guitar also. Going to drive there from Austin. Looking forward to it, but don't have a whole bunch of bluegrass tunes in the pocket yet. Should be a blast, see y'all there!

Tim--I just caught your YouTube video of "Bei Mir Bist Du Scheyn". Wow! Hope you're bringing lots of CDs for the Kamp Store!

Looks like you're in Northampton just before Kamp. I lived there in '88 to '91 right by Smith College--apartment was across the street from the Academy of Music.

    Looking forward to meeting you!

I thought the mando classes this year were the best I've seen at Kamp.

I also thought it was an exceptional year Mando wise. All the old regulars did a great job and presented fresh new material. Getting to know Tim Connell was a real treat! I especially enjoyed his class scramble on Choro music.

I'll be watching the internets today to see who Steve has lined up for next year!

My first year. Amazing musical experience, both from the standpoint of instruction and experiencing incredible musical performances. Played music 'till the wee hrs every night. Total music immersion. Can't wait until next year. Well done Steve, Donna, et. al.
