Is there anybody out there that is completely satisfied with their mandolin(s) and can honestly say they'll never buy another? If so, which mandolin is it that cured your case of MAS?

To be honest, if I felt that I had the uber mando, I'd still be looking at potential other voices...I can be afflicted from time to time with covetousness...LOL!

I can't say never but I am pretty happy with the mandolins I have. There is another factor involved here. I can't afford to go on buying and selling mandolins. I have reached the end of the road because my priorities lie elsewhere.

Since I consider myself to be slightly above a noodler and I see no reason to buy another one. My Yellowstone serves me well and since my good friends Bruce Weber and Brett Byers made it specifically for me, why look elsewhere. I do enjoy perusing the classifieds but I have no intention of buying.
MAS is a sickness that can only be managed but never cured.
I can't say I'll never buy another one but I've definitely stopped looking to buy anything else. Between my Heiden A5 and Kimble F5, there's just not much else I need....

I'm pretty much where Nick is. I have four modest instruments (Fullerton Gloucester F, Breedlove Crossover oval hole,Eastwood Mandocaster, and Trinity College OM. The Mandocaster I bought used and I traded one of my penny whistles for the OM. I paid less for all of them than many "entry level" mandolins but they all play very nicely and I don't feel the urge to get anything better. I'll never say never, but I'm happy.

My Phoenix Neoclassical really fills my needs and aspirations. It is possible that I may never buy another. I can't say with any real certainty, of course, but I really am satisfied by that one mandolin and could just play it on and on.
My Weber OM is likely the last OM I will ever buy. I don't have any desire for another.
I really do have a hankering for a Soprano, though. I'm pretty sure I'll end up with one of those one day.
That's where I am at this time.

I won't say NEVER but I will say "unlikely." With my most recent purchases (my Weber and my Pava,) plus I still have my Loar LM 220 and my bowlbacks, I can't think of anything I will need for a very long time. I will just play on!
I'm happy with my Dearstone and '87 Flatiron among others, but I will buy another as soon as funds permit. All I ever need is one more but not to replace the two favorites.
I'm good!
Look, when you all pool and send Halsey the check, I will need not one more instrument as long as I shall live! I might see about having him make an aluminum saddle and pulling the 27th fret so I can aspire to be Dave Appolon. I'm not holding my breath about any of the above but, always hopeful!
So, hurry up, I'm not getting any younger!
If that never happens, I'm pretty much just fine.

I'm happy with what I have! My wife says I'll never buy another mandolin
I have 3. I might sell one, or two of them sometime down the road, but I can honestly say that I'll never buy another one.

Been said before, I'll say it again:
How many mandolins does a mandolin player need?
Just one..........................................more!

Id like to say no but those two angels on my shoulders are constantly driving me crazy! One says yes , the other no ! Not to mention so many nice choices lately on the classifieds.
