I just picked this up a few days ago - it was sold to a local music store by the proverbial "little old lady".
The resonator is an integrated part of the structure - to open it you remove several small slotted screws and the tailpiece, then lift out the tension hoop/head/flange as a single unit. No I.D marks of any kind. Zero fret, slotted headstock and once I set it up it plays great and has an interesting, full tone that will be good for some recording.
Definitely NOT a bluegrass instrument!
